Thailand Education (ED) Visa
An Education (ED) Visa is granted to foreign nationals who wish to study at an accredited institution in Thailand. While the most common course is Thai language, many other academic programs are available. It is crucial to understand that this visa requires genuine student participation. Schools are required to report attendance to immigration, and failure to attend classes can result in your visa being revoked. CANNVAS partners with a range of reputable schools to ensure our clients have a legitimate and rewarding educational experience.
The ED Visa Process
Securing an ED visa involves several key steps, starting with obtaining a 90-day Non-Immigrant ED visa. This can be done in one of three ways:
- Converting a tourist visa from within Thailand (if eligible and applicable).
- Applying at a Thai embassy or consulate in a neighboring country.
- Applying in your home country before you travel to Thailand.
After receiving your initial 90-day visa, it must be extended every 90 days at the local immigration office to complete the full term of your course. Our comprehensive service handles the initial application and manages all your extensions, removing any hassle and ensuring you remain compliant.
